Quality Manager

Provides leadership for the Quality Department while coordinating and managing the activities to assure the customer consistently receive high-quality products.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains a safety culture resulting in zero accidents
  • Ensures 100% safety compliance
  • Helps support building a strong team that is cross-functional across all Departments
  • “Leads by example” and maintains a strong professional demeanor at all times and always possess a “Can do attitude”
  • Leads Quality Department personnel through defined processes
  • Coordinates with other departments to meet objectives and to satisfy the customer
  • Manages resources to achieve 100% efficiency, 90% machine uptime and less than 1% scrap
  • Interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics, and formulas
  • Performs testing of product and operational procedures
  • Evaluates data identifying non-conforming material and products
  • Presents data using charts, graphs, and reports
  • Recommends modifications to specs and standards to achieve optimum quality
  • Creates and implements statistical control processes
  • Trains associate in standardized work procedures
  • Trains associates to recognize quality and to perform duties successfully
  • Reviews inspects and analyzes incoming material
  • Receives, reviews, analyzes and documents customer complaints and/or returns
  • Drives quality culture to maintain ISO and QS certifications
  • Recruits, screens and hires employees
  • Partners with Human Resources to analyze developmental gaps and optimize training opportunities
  • Collects analyzes and reports data to measure personnel performance
  • Coaches personnel and completes disciplinary documentation per policy
  • Creates and maintains a safety culture resulting in zero accidents
  • Performs other duties as assigned



4-year College Degree – Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Business Administration, or related technical field, 5 years of Quality Department Leadership experience in injection molding and Tier-1 automotive.

Experience in LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, Kaizen and other models required.
