Maintenance Technician

Come join an established family-owned bottle manufacturer in Simi Valley, California as a Maintenance Technician! Headquartered in California and in business for over 55 years our client is a one-stop shop for their clients packaging needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receives machine priorities from the Maintenance Manager.
- Install and wire industrial equipment as directed by Maintenance Manager
- Routinely performs machinery checks ensuring all safety devices are installed and functioning properly.
- Conduct periodic checks of all electrical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment.
- Identifying and reporting potential equipment or building issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe working conditions.
- Work independently from verbal and/or written instructions from the Maintenance Manager.
- Communicate with off-going/on-coming technicians.
- The ability to monitor the process and show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues.
- Assists with training of junior technical staff.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical, hands-on Maintenance Technician/Mechanic position
- 3+ years of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatic troubleshooting.
- Plastics manufacturing experience is a plus**
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Self-motivated, can work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Compensation Range:
- $30-$38/hour
