Title: Regional Sales Manager – Northeast US

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our client, a plastic extrusion industry leader. The company’s focus is on short-run products with rapid turnarounds, tight tolerances, material science expertise, and a high degree of operational complexity. Our client is a leading component supplier across various industrial end markets with production facilities across North America. The Regional Sales Manager will be charged with growing the Northeast territory- they will be responsible for current NE accounts as well as developing new business.

The preferred candidate will have commercial experience within a plastic contract manufacturing environment.

Position Overview:

Role: The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will report to the Vice President of Sales and assume a strategic role in the company’s overall sales growth by geographical region. The RSM will have primary responsibility for profitable sales growth by creating and implementing sales plans, ensuring customer satisfaction, providing customer support, and driving growth through strategic account management and business development. The Regional Sales Manager will provide leadership to shape, guide, and implement the organization’s presence in the market by aligning customer needs with company capabilities as an integral component of attaining the sales growth objectives of the company.

Job Location: In Territory – Work from home. Ability to travel 60% of the time.

 

Responsibilities and Functions:

• Sales Planning & Forecasting

• Sales Execution

• Custom Technical Sales

• Sales and Operations Interface

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree a plus

• 10+ years in Sales in the Plastics/Polymer Processing Manufacturing Industry

• Excellent communication skills

• PC proficiency is essential (Windows Environment, Salesforce, Excel, Epicor/similar ERP system)

• Proven selling, relationship-building, and negotiation skills

 

Skills:

• Exceptional team player and strong work ethic.

• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and work effectively within all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations is essential.

• Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

• Demonstrated use of CRM in managing their territory
